Suckfizzle 2005 Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

Aromatically Suckfizzle, bursting with lemon/lime preserves, ripe gooseberry and white flesh nectarines, then trailed by wisps of sweet herbs and wafers of mineral/flint talc and toasty oak spice. The palate initially bridled by the driving purity of Semillon�s citrus fruits spills forth with Sauvignon Blanc�s rich nectarine, gooseberry and sweet lemon herbs. In the wake of 15 months in new and once used Bordeaux oak, the palate has gained a mineral edge from juice solids as well as a lemon butter richness from barrel fermentation. The acidity so tightly woven in the palate is beginning to free what will be a ripe yet fine, long living wine.

The palate is structured by the driving purity of Semillon’s citrus fruits then enlarged by Sauvignon’s rich nectarine, gooseberry and sweet herb contributions. After 15 months in new and once used Bordeaux oak ,the palate has gained a flinty edge from juice solids fermentation, a lemon butter thickness from barrel ferment and a tightly woven acidity which with time will gently release a ripe yet fine, long living wine. 12 bottles to a case.
